I’m A Mormon

Last year, Grant was asked to be a part of the “I’m a Mormon” campaign for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A video crew came out to the farm and spent a day shooting. We loved getting to know them and showing them around.

The spot aired yesterday, and we’re so proud of Grant Kohler, our loving husband, father and grandfather. It showcases our farm and operation well, but more importantly, this spot is a great reminder that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us all individually.

We’d love it if you’d share this message.

Vanilla bean cheddar added to the national list of top 5 food trends (read: we’re trendy and we know it)

Heber Valley Artisan Cheese was added to the Winter Fancy Food Show’s List of Top 5 Food Trends with their Vanilla Bean Cheddar cheese in January. The show, held in San Francisco every year, names top trends of the year, and Heber Valley Artisan Cheese was the only Utah company to make the list.

“We’re thrilled to be included with the trendiest foods of the year,” said Russel Kohler, owner and cheesemaker at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese. “Experimenting with different flavors in our farmstead cheeses is our favorite pastime, so it’s nice to be recognized.” Heber Valley Artisan Cheese was one of 20 companies who made the list, which predicts food trends.

The company’s Vanilla Bean Cheddar was listed as component in the vanilla bean category, predicted to gain fame this year in fine foods. Some other trends include turmeric, using greens as snack food and breakfast all day.

Cheese + Jam: it’s a beautiful thing

It’s alarming really, how well two American staples – cheese and jam – pair. The unlikely combination hits the harmonious spot between sweet, yet salty. Creamy, yet textured. The pair can be used to dress up the appetizer table at a dinner party or can be enjoyed on a lazy friday night in pajamas.

Here’s our take on the unlikely duo, and our most favorite way to enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich (trust us, make this and your kids will love you forever)!
