About us

Heritage - Family - Legacy

In the 1870’s, our Swiss Pioneer ancestors settled in the Heber Valley, often saying that Mount Timpanogos reminded them of their beloved snowy Alps. They brought with them generations of dairy farming and cheese-making heritage that continues with us to this day.

Canyon View Farm has been in our family since the 1920’s, and has been a source of community, family, and innovation within the Heber Valley. From owning the first tractor in the valley in 1930, to the state-of-the-art robotic milking system we have today, our family has always prided ourselves on utilizing the best technologies available to care for our herds.

But, the world has changed quite a bit since 1920, and our family felt the need for another step of ingenuity to keep Canyon View Farm on the map for good. Following in the tenacious spirit of our ancestors, our family banded together, learned the secrets to making world-award winning cheese, and, in 2011, Heber Valley Artisan Cheese was founded.

While other dairy farms in the Heber Valley have sold their land to developers, Heber Valley Cheese helps us hold tight to the place our family has always called home. To us, our farm is worth much more than the price of land. It’s a place where we have gathered, grown, learned, and worked together, a place that connects us to those who have gone before us.
